   So far I like my AMD GPU, but as I've used it I kinda have a hot take about AMD GPUs in general. Whoever the fuck runs AMDs GPU department needs to be fired. All their failures to attract normal consumers that aren't just Linux nerds are 100% their fault and no one else's but their own. Hardware encoding? Despite purchasing a company that specialized in it, seemingly they are still behind the competition even with 7000 series. What about AI? They barley support consumer hardware if at all, the documentation is garbage, they do little in helping porting to ROCm, and are slow to support new hardware, and only support Linux. Upscaling being worse? It's related to the previous issue, they use hand tuned method without AI, it's impressive but not as good as the competitors. Windows drivers are buggy as shit, the Linux ones that are not even 100% maintained by AMD are more stable and offer better performance most of the time. What about ray tracing? A proformance sensitive part of ray tracing on AMD is done by using shading part of the GPU instead of doing it in dedicated hardware like NVIDIA again leading to worse proformance. What the fuck is AMD doing???

     Love hate them, on one hand they offer better value and support Linux more. But all the downsides are their fault in my opinion, Intel is worse currently speaking but seem to actually have a good mentality unlike AMD
