Someone recommended this guidebook by the @eff , which is fantastic. https://ssd.eff.org/module/privacy-students I'd love to see more detailed analyses of the tools schools use to track and surveil their students, like the piece the EFF did on GoGuardian, but for many more tools. Specifically in this case, Deledao, Proctorio, and Google's spyware tools.
I've seen quite a bit of discussion here about the privacy, surveillance, and other issues with monitoring & filtering apps in a school setting. I have the opportunity to provide some info and guidance to school IT types here in the US.
Does anyone know of good resources for in-depth research and guidance around tools like Deladao, Proctorio, and the like?
(Plz boost if you have a good network for this kind of thing)
