@matty Ugh. I'm such a boomer. I still have issues supporting #Nicecrew via the links but I did just buy another T-shirt, so I hope that counts towards your monthly goal! I love being here even though most of what you guys say and do is way over my head lol.

The government already knows what I'm doing. I don't really care about hiding myself from "them". People will always want something other than what's available in order to abstain from supporting the services they use and enjoy. NCD users do a good job but there's no reason why Graf has to beg 30,000 people for $2000 per month. I think people use fears of "muh dox" as a facade so they can pass the buck on to someone else, ad infinitum. Everyone wants everything for free and it's never gonna happen.

@matty @kf01 @vccpres Really people just just adopt crypto for these kinds of payments. If you're going to link your bank and have your identity tied to it anyway.
Would be great to have a service like this for privacy coins tho.

@matty @vccpres Liberapay? Is that anonymous?
-
You can set it so you don't know who's donating but yes. It's not anonymous to the point where your bank won't track you but from person to person, yes, as long as you have Stripe set up correctly.

Venmo is a pain sometimes, that's why I generally recommend Liberapay. There's a lot less hassle to go through!

Lol. I'm 64. Not beyond help but helpless in the face of tech stuff that is second nature to you. Example: I did create a Venmo account but then it didn't recognize me, and I got frustrated and quit. (The blonde hair is real). I do love my NCD cap and the t-shirt will be cool too. Further perspective: Zero people in my life know about the Fediverse, instances, etc. You guys keep me young!

Thank you! What issues are you having? I should be able to help

@matty Cryptos bridge the gap somewhat, even pseudononymous ones, if you know how to use them properly. @kf01 @vccpres
