   As far as I can tell, the phenomenon of boomers not leaving anything to their children or grandchildren is primarily an American thing.
   The US being the heart of empire, many of the worse traits of American boomers seep through to the rest of the Western world, but I don't think being so solipsistic and selfish as to leave your own blood with nothing is the case anywhere else, at a societal scale that is.
