the image is tiny, but horrible.
Who wants a CompactFlash to VGA adapter?

This is for WinCE portables. Some of them had only CF card slots instead of PCMCIA, but CF is a subset of PCMCIA, and you can do non-storage things with it, just not very easily.
this is partially because CF is based on IDE/ATA and PCMCIA.
and IDE/ATA is based on ISA, as is PCMCIA.
the PC platform is a turducken of fractal shame
So apparently the intended use for this was PowerPoint.
Because yeah, there was Pocket PowerPoint, and you could then use this to make your WinCE portable's display show up on a projector
they also made a PCMCIA version, which @kiwa
has:

But yeah. CF can be used for what PCMCIA cards were, so... there were compact flash wifi cards. I own two!
@Genstar were there ever any ISA 3D accelerators?
I mean, besides the debatable Professional Graphics Controller
@foone CompactFlash 3D Graphics Accelerator when?
@foone TinEye finds a larger file of same https://ko.com.ua/img/ko/2002/30/8%21Voyager-ins-copy.jpg
@BRicker thanks!
@foone I should boot this thing up again sometime
@EkpyroticFrood very nice! ethernet CF, that's a new one
@foone I had one of those in an adapter in the early 2000s or so. I remember wardriving with it on the 104 and 88 buses. For whatever reason route 104 was just nothing but hundreds of Linksys routers, factory config, channel 6.
