     It's not "impossible" or even "hard" to block ads
     
     All you have to do is use ublock and clear cache + update filters whenever you get the popup.
     I did it once and never saw it again.
     Granted it might be because I'm using firefox which doesn't have manifesto 3 but it's by no means impossible to get around it.

     @Narbray I think people struggling with it are using chromium browsers.
     
     Google has been planning to wage war on adblockers for years now.
     
     YouTube doing it now coincides with manifesto 3 going into effect and weakening adblockers on those browsers

     @Meemoo @Narbray I feel like these morons also don't know about the various other methods like freetube, that greasemonkey/tamper monkey script, and invidious. It explains so much as to why a few months ago they sent a C&D to newpipe and invidious though.
