The previous homeowner just had some piece of shit with plastic hose into a floor drain I said fuck it it can stay there until it breaks and it broke lol. I drilled unistrut into the cement wall and mounted a check valve and PVC pipe that will discharge into the sanitary sewer, which is naughty but fuck the international plumbing code nigga we ball. I used a shop vac to clean 20 years of sludge out of the sump pit and tbh I found the task entirely unpleasant.
