   Frost for Facebook stopped working
   
   There's another open source app but it refuses to save pictures (???)
   
   For a while, the main app didn't serve me ads, but it started again. So I went on a spree to block and hide all advertisers. The site quickly stopped me from doing that after like 5 advertisers. Then I went on a spree to report the rest since I couldn't hide them
   
   Facebook has stopped serving me ads again

     I thought I was the only one but yeah Frost stopped working for me as well. RIP to an era.

     But otherwise I've always had a hell of a time messing with the ad system and then checking the weird fucking nonsense topics it put somehow. I saw sleepwear and fucking Tampax??? Tampax and sanitary shit????????? Bro I ain't a women
     
     I mess with this shit so I can truly proudly tell people: The ad data industry is bullshit. It keeps serving me home owner shit too, I own no homes you fools

     @thegreatape technically, you could just not use the app and use the mobile browser with adblock (it works), but mobile browsers are miserable experiences

     From what I've observed, if they have determined that they pissed you off, they will normally put ads after every 4-5 posts. Normally, it's after 3 posts. If they have determined you to be an ad pig (basically, actually click ads), the fuckers will start upping the ads significantly

     Yeah FB ads and their algorithm are both extremely on point and extremely off point. For reference my fb profile says I'm a 70+ year old women but I still get ads targeted to my real demographic. Sometimes. Other times it's just the typical boomer scam bullshit. I hate FB but every animal sanctuary in the world loves it so I am forced to use it to keep up on the animals.
