     @thegreatape these are slightly different but were also popular in the 00s. These usually don't walk around the desktop and doesn't interact with windows. They just stay within their square. I remember some ecard websites released a bunch with their own cartoon charas

     The only thing I can vaguely think of that's comparative is the shitty western version known as Virtuagirl. Where you could have a fake trailer trash hoe strip teasing you while you try to ignore Clippy and get that email sent out for work.
