     @renchap @dimillian @Gargron @smurthys There is already a FEP for quotes: https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/fep/e232/fep-e232.md
     
     Rebased (and possibly Pleroma/Akkoma?) support this way, in addition to the Misskey/Fedibird quoteUri way.
     
     As for notifications, we just add the user being quoted to the "to" field and it becomes a mention.

     @dimillian @Gargron @smurthys We are working on it (but this is not done by @Gargron).
     As stated multiple times, this is not only about rendering status links as quotes, but need proper implementation in ActivityPub (which is not speced yet), quote notifications, thus also controlling who can quote you.
     We hope to publish FEPs covering those in the coming weeks, and implement it in H1 2024
