     @niclas @francisscottkey I don't know about a solution, but if democrats think mass shootings are caused by loose gun laws, but the majority of noteworthy shootings are perpetrated by democrats, it starts to look like environmentalists starting forest fires to prove global warming is real.

     @thatguyoverthere @niclas @francisscottkey There really isn’t a solution at this point, it’s a symptom of widespread moral/societal rot and fixing that is going to be quite a task, if there is the will to do it at all.

     @EssentialUtinsil @niclas @francisscottkey yeah one problem we seem to have culturally is a tendency to treat symptoms rather than causes. "My head hurts. Take nsaids" instead of "drink water". Immediate effects may be positive but the underlying problems are never addressed and the drugs do more damage. Same with gun control laws. It's an attempt to pull the dogs teeth instead of just not abusing the dog in the first place.
