@whiteline@xian I got an iphone so now I have apple Maps, it's going to be hard but I'm going to get out from under gmail. For meeting I'm just at the whim of whoever sets up the meeting and I'm forced to use that.
@olmitch@xian@whiteline@Moon This sources from places other than OSM? Since I don't think OSM includes sat maps? (Actually does it? Maybe it's just not in any of the clients I use.) Anyway, my only real requirement for fone map is "supports offline navigation", so I'm interested, since currently OM seems like the only really viable choice; and it has some questionable choices sometimes. But seems like I can't actually download it? I can't find it on frdoid or izzyondroid... It is on apkpure at least, but seems like it isn't open-source? I might go ask them about it.
@olmitch@xian@whiteline@Moon This is very strange, /e/ is just a reskin of lineage with marketing, sold preinstalled so people don't have to fuck around flashing and hoping they don't brick it. Why would there be a reskin of that? Sounds like some sort of mlm scheme to me. Though it seems like not all the hardware they sell is second-hand? They're actually putting together their own fone? I guess that justifies their existence, but you shouldn't buy anything else from them, just buy it direct from source. Especially fairphones, they're very easy to flash.
