Not really. World War 2 was kind of a rare failure mode for authoritarians. Historically monarchies didn't often end with kings getting executed, and even today there's a good chunk of dictatorships. North Korea, lots of Middle Eastern countries, arguably China and Russia.
It's more common for authoritarians to be killed by internal struggles, rather than by an external power rekting them.
