     @ActionRetro You know what I miss from old school Linux? WindowMaker Dockapps. Square pieces of beauty. I remember using them on fvwm2 and Openbox, before moving to gkrellm and conky.

     I definitely think they should make a comeback.

     @ActionRetro Saw the video today. It's so good. You definitely need to do a follow-up, because RedHat 5.x is such an important moment in Linux history.

     Buckle up, this is going to be a thread, and I hope some of this makes it into the follow-up.

     IIRC, RedHat was the most popular distro at the time, and it was notorious for bad security practices. This was when the Linux community started to get their act together wrt security, and see it as more than just announcing patches.
