@ActionRetro You know what I miss from old school Linux? WindowMaker Dockapps. Square pieces of beauty. I remember using them on fvwm2 and Openbox, before moving to gkrellm and conky.

IIRC, RedHat was the most popular distro at the time, and it was notorious for bad security practices. This was when the Linux community started to get their act together wrt security, and see it as more than just announcing patches.
