     Just democracy as usual, really. No point blaming the Anglos, since at that point they were already outvoted by the Irish here.

     So, the Irish were the ones that felt threatened by Germany? I do not at all follow your motivators here. Like, they weren't even democracies, and that wasn't the motivator.
