Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 02:52:43 JST Moon @Zerglingman well rather from a marketing perspective, they are concerned just that people actually like what they're building since they're not selling anything Machismo likes this. -

Also it's pretty clear that they are doing it for the marketing. -

Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 03:43:13 JST Moon @piggo it is done by people in the bitcoin community but it functionally does not use a blockchain or bitcoin to operate. There is an event type for "tipping" bitcoin but it is completely optional and the network doesn't require or need or is enhanced from it in any way. Santa Noodle ☦️ (bowsacnoodle@poa.st)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 03:45:38 JST Santa Noodle ☦️ @Moon The way you do that is with some type of functionally useless obscure crypto in hopes that eventually it takes off and generates more users. Have their posts and activities "earn it" but also lame. -
Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 03:45:38 JST Moon @BowsacNoodle they're 100% on Bitcoin -
Ademan (ademan@thebag.social)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 04:09:40 JST Ademan User retention is garbage because the UX is fucking garbage. It doesn’t help that if you’re not into bitcoin you’re not going to have much to talk about with the native userbase.
User discovery is somehow even worse than fedi, too, lmao
Despite all that I’m actually more positive on nostr now than I was 6 months ago, it proved to be more than a flash in the pan, and its positive properties are pretty interesting. Logging into any (nostr) app, with wildly different uses, instantly, with the same identity feels pretty magical.
