there will be a lull in support for poast for november, probably dropping the meter to 1k based on failed payments reports so what would you guys like to see for fundraising? because 700$/mo out of pocket is starting to get too much again

@graf Ideas for fundraising? I think more people would donate if you spoke about it more. The more you talk about it, the more it's known. The problem is everyone has their own circumstances and thoughts, so it's a coin flip to find those who will be charitable. In the meantime, working part-time might help if you have a few hours to spare.

@Nothing i speak about it every month and kiwifarms cries about me asking for money as a result. happens literally every single month. because people don't understand it costs money to host something and further costs money to host something trannies aren't going to take down easily. i have money, but i have to beg for money to host a website because not only am i providing the service for free but im also working on it for free. but im always in the wrong for asking for money. im a grifter, shyster, whatever

it's fucked up to me to think that i have to debase myself to beg people to pay for somewhere they post so it doesn't dig away at what's probably the only money i have left since antifa and etc (dramanigger) websites seek to prevent me from having income because i support bad thought, bad thing, bad whatever. im not asking for income. im asking for people to not deplete mine in an effort to have a place for everybody to post and be themselves. why do i have to beg for money literally every month. it's crazy

@graf There's no shame in asking for money to help support you keeping up an instance, especially with a lot of users. Isn't that exactly what fundraising is? This isn't begging. This is just from my perspective, but I can say I understand. And, I would not pay too much attention to kiwis. There's nothing you can do about gossip. It's fucked up, but if you focus on it too much it'll bring you down. Do not get hindered by distractions. As long as you're honest, there should be nothing to worry about. I hope your efforts will get more people will help out.

this happens every month and it's not ever fixed. i put up with it for a couple months until it becomes graf pays half for his website that people use while also working 24/7 on it

@Dan_Hulson i understand a lot are between jobs but also a lot are jim fans that will send 100$ for a hat but cant pay 5$ to almost guarentee he's read their reply. it's not just that though. the point is everybody just stopped, cant or doesn't want to (again)
i incurred a bunch of cost to buy hardware, trying to operate cheaper and even still that's not enough for people. im just going to stop begging people for pennies to run something and shutter it and let them post somewhere else tbh. i spend all of my time from the moment i wake up until the moment i go to sleep for now nearly 3 years plus my own money to run poast and im just kinda done with footing half the bill

@Type_Other @Dan_Hulson @graf Actually do a thing where donations cause random bans - with some forewarning, maybe a week or so. Not only does it help solve the cost itself, donations would probably double just because people want to see the gun go off.
