@Deus @davew @jeffjarvis HTTPS is no guarantee that a site s secure. Twice I have followed HTTPS links to a reputable publication from my timeline only to have a clearly malicious pop up, likely from an ad provider, present a fake warning that my antivirus is out of date and I should click the (obviously to me malicious) link on center stage with no access to a back arrow (in other words, it hijacked the entire HTTPS session, I’m guessing via a hidden frame). Luckily all I had to do was close the tab to be rid of this evil thing and resume browsing my timeline.
