     To be fair, most Gen X ignored the internet until their mid-late 20s. So, they evolved to socialize by verbally quoting movie/tv bits, instead of sharing memes online. 🧐

     @SK1ZM I know, it just gets old hearing them huff when you say you haven’t seen any of it. They really think it’s much more genteel and respectable to have spent 11,800 hours of your life watching and rewatching that crap on an endless loop

     Probably not a great option for you but what I like to do is start inundating these people with japanese videogame trivia. At best they catch on and see what they're doing, and at worst at least I got to give them a taste of their own medicine.
