But like, GFL... Last year's was some shit about a dancer who had a scar or smth and couldn't dance anymore and got really mad that she was no longer rich and famous, so she dressed up her maid doll as her and tried to have it replace her, idk, I stopped reading after a few rounds, it was stupid.
This year's was a game of werewolf, I read like 5 lines and skipped the rest, and then specifically voted against whatever everyone else was voting, aiming to bring everyone to neutral.

Part of the problem is just MICA trying to be too smart, but:
- halloween aesthetic is just ugly in general (and that outfit is not a halloween outfit)
- SpOoKy sToRiEs are hot garbage because they haven't read enough /x/
- Earth holidays don't even make sense in a bunch of games. GFL is actually still Earth though, so I'll begrudgingly give it a pass. But holiday events still don't really make sense, the current point in the story (which is being told through events lol, so I'm missing huge chunks) the protagonists are hiding in Germany losing dolls by the dozen to an enemy that's been planning for years, but somehow magically still having more, there is no base anymore, it's just you and a handful of dolls in some mansion owned by the top boss, who is farting about political circles trying to stop you getting arrested for your warrantless raids, while being the typical overly vague villain type.

@Zerglingman @Kyonko802 Yeah GFL events are pretty damn tedious to get through, but I do like the more silly events that happen, like the valentines and Christmas events. Makes for a nice break in between the pain.
Also Paradeus is just absurd, hundreds of thousands of troops, a giant floating rock base, stupidly powerful units. Not a big fan of them in the story, at least with KCCO things were more grounded, since they are an actual military splinter faction. Also you got a large mobile base now that your original base got shelled to hell and back

I don't even know who that is, other than "the yellow team". I have approximately four story bookmarks currently; I am working my way through Continuum Turbulence, I am up to the last mission, where Angelica (who I finally met properly!!!!!) is first fighting the nytos. I assume KCCO is related to Yegor, because he is usually the yellow team.
Oh actually five I think, because I've seen the bit where Dandelion gets named, and it refers to some submarine or something that I don't know about. I'm not sure how I got to that, I think it's chapter 12 day?

The problem is that, in general, holiday aesthetics and trappings are not that interesting. Give me a gacha that resounds with CHRIST IS LORD every December, pls.
And then I'll bitch because it's set in isekai 9001, and Christ never existed there.
I'd probably respect them more if they came up with their own holidays.
Also applies to wedding dresses, but at least they're cute and sexy.

@Zerglingman @Kyonko802 KCCO is the Russian Spetsnaz you team up with in chapter 10 to once and for all destroy Sangvis Ferri, they eventually turn traitor to the state and try to use you to start up some shit. Guessing you've read the story out of order or something.
Also the mobile base is a large vehicle Havier (IOP) sent over once your base gets blow up, the same as the one shown in GFL2. And yeah that van probably got blown up at some point.
The pain of seeing dolls getting killed in horrific ways in the story. Angelica is definitely a retard bitch though.

So which one in that image is meant to be the mobile base? And, more importantly, where is it? I remember the base getting blown up, you had to play a tower defence with Perscia and Kryuger during it, but I don't remember receiving a vehicle after that, other than the one they came over in.
Or, wait, that was invaded, I don't know if it got blown up, but it was gone for good at least.

This is the least painful thing in GFL story. This is actually exactly what I expected when I signed up for it, so it's fine.

"The military". I know of this operation, IIRC it takes like 3 chapters, but that might just be because of how fucking long it took to clear each chapter after like ch6. It's the one where the dirty bomb gets set off, M4 is offered to the mastermind, and a bunch of other shit happens.
I'm still trying to piece the whole thing together. I think I'm still missing part of it, because I don't recall seeing the conclusion of it from the commander's perspective. Maybe that *is* Continuum Turbulence?

YES! I had no choice! I have read the main story in order, mostly, except that I still can't figure out when half the emergency and night missions occur; I think night missions are mostly entirely disconnected, until ch5-6ish.
And then I started doing the campaigns, after I had started following the events. If I ever manage to clear everything I am going to sit down and read the whole fucking story start to finish.

@poopernova @Kyonko802 Was that the one where she ate all the chocolate? No wait, I think that was a valentine's event. That was actually fun, because the hints to get the Perscia ending were very well done; that bizarre note about "all chocolates you made in last level are carried into this one" was very good. At first I thought it meant you had to keep restocking and was mad because it sounded incredibly tedious, but then that clearly wasn't the case.
I think I have seen the one you're referring to, but I don't remember the story at all, I just remember having to dodge mobs around piles of presents.
