PC-9801 Enjoyer (pawlicker@bae.st)'s status on Wednesday, 25-Oct-2023 12:27:57 JST PC-9801 Enjoyer @dcc the problem is, OpenBSD doesn't work on Power7 or hypervisored Open Firmware systems.

So you're basically using Linux, and the distro support is a shot in the dark given many have broken installers on IBM hardware. In conversation permalink Attachments

PC-9801 Enjoyer (pawlicker@bae.st)'s status on Wednesday, 25-Oct-2023 12:33:14 JST PC-9801 Enjoyer @dcc as long as it's not a power4/5 you're good
Those have the athlon xp/tegra 2 problem of not supporting smid instruction sets a CPU of that era should support, in this case altivec. As a result nothing supports them because every ppc64 build assumes altivec is supported because of the popular ppc970 (which everyone using ppc64 Linux has in their Mac)In conversation permalink -
