   Not counting my paper routes, or doing the family laundry for $8/week, I started at about $2/hour at 15 as a dishwasher. Used to work until 2 or 3 in the morning after holiday parties. Decathlon Athletic Club, 12th and 494 in Bloomington MN. You?

     @amerika @ScoWer22 mowing lawns and shoveling snow made me bank from a pretty young age. These days it seems most people paying just use landscaping companies.

     @amerika @ScoWer22 I also think trust in the community has fallen to critical levels. Parents probably don't let their kids go knock on doors to ask for work because who knows what kind of people are on the other side of the door. This has sadly always been the case on some level, but when I was a kid I was able to travel pretty far across town without much concern from my parents (maybe ill advised at times tbh).

     It is easier and simpler to hire a company with a whitish or Asian guy at the helm to keep cracking the whip on the Amerind labor.

     Hiring kids requires some on-the-job training and patience, and people do not have that anyway.

     Not to mention that thanks to diversity, no one knows each other because culture is dead.
