   No they have plenty of food in there and while drowning might be a brutal way to go I'm not sure it's any worse than being eaten by a chicken.
   
   The problem is I can't actually just let mice run wild around here. I can't poison them because one of my birds or dogs might get them. The water prevents me from being able to catch more than one every few days with. Small spring and glue traps are no more humane. I caught 5 in one day and may catch more over night. They can drown as a family in the morning. Call it cruel if you want, but I'm not running a mouse charity here.

     @MoralPanic @BowsacNoodle fuck off outdoor cats eat baby birds. You are fucking retarded. I lost 4 turkeys to a wild cat. I also have tons of wild birds that hang out in this "unnatural environment" because of an abundance of food. The rodents will be fed to my chickens after they die, but more than likely my goofy dog will eat them before they can. Either way hardly a waste of life. Just much easier for me to make sure they don't get away if I dispatch them first.

     @MoralPanic @BowsacNoodle it's not a roller it's a plank, and it's not a home depot bucket, it's meadows farms. Anyway I think you should go back to drinking your soylet and don't worry about the poor mice, they'll be chicken feed tomorrow. In the meantime they have a bed of grain to eat. No cannibalism going on here.

     @thatguyoverthere @MoralPanic I remember the time I caught my sweet cat throwing a chipmunk up into the air and batting at it with her paws on the way down. If it didn't try to run, she did it again until it did. Eventually it would die, probably from its heart giving out or blood loss. Honestly, cats are brutal.
