trying out the pinephone again and it is still terrible....
i know pmos itself is fine. so i assume the phone never had a chance to be usable
-
@grillchen >still terrible
In?
-
@kaia @grillchen If you want it "snapy" you have to go with the pro.
-
@grillchen ultem said the same about his
-
@grillchen @kaia the value is the fairness...
-
@kaia uhhh no idea what you are saying but i have friends with fairphones. they are kinda fine.
the price doesnt reflect the value well but you have the added "fairness" cost. similar to other fair phone manufacteurs like shift
both had different issues i didnt like in the past and i did not keep up with them. from software support to 8h battery life (i think the newest fairphone 5 has 7-9h)
for the one plus i would like to try out e/os for reasons....
otherwise im happy with lineageos or something simple.
i only consider used smartphones
-
@grillchen sad! is the Fairphone (?) people put the same image on?
-
@kaia if it would work better i would have bought the keyboard and maybe even the pro version.
but with this mess i have no hopes for the pro, and am afraid it is a sad try to fix a failed idea
-
@kaia not sure what to do with it. it is my best working phone rn because my s8 has some issues.
nexus 5 is to old.
friend offered me to sell his oneplus 6 which randomly restarts. might be just a battery issue and an easy fix
sadly my pinephone also has 2 smol cracks on the screen. it isnt an issue for me but otherwise i might sell it easier...
i have no idea why it is so bad. apparently the quadcore is so old it has serious heat issues.... and thats why everything is throttled beyond usability...
-
@lain @kaia yeah but for a cheapskate like me i can get the same with a used device i can flash with something new.
i understand most people are to afraid to open up phones and dont know how to check compability.
but i can do this and just reuse someone elses trash :aismug:
i dont wanna criticize their price, im just not the demographic
