   Hey, quick question: what's the normal amount of laserdiscs to own in 2023?
   Because I'm pretty sure this isn't it.

     @foone curious to know how many of them still play? I remember collector friends telling me of “laser rot” and recall CDs having similar issues.

     @oneiros early discs suffer from "laser rot" which causes them to die, later discs seem to be holding up very well.

     @foone I've seen a few Laserdiscs in my time... but never seen an actual CED except in youtube videos about obscure formats. Where did you find it?
