   i knew indians cant eat beef because to them cows are sacred, and muslims cant eat bacon because it comes from pork and pork is haram, but why jews cant mix meat and dairy? I dont understand.

     in the torah they are forbidden from eating or making food that contains both
     supposedly dairy is viewed as life and meat is viewed as death
