      I've been torn lately between using Firefox or a derivative and Brave. Would've given Thorium a try but it isn't available yet as a Nixpkg or Flatpak.

      Not really sure what I should do for browsers yet tbh.

      @Maholmire They're all really terrible. I am using a build of Seamonkey that I stripped all the Telemetry out of and I still had to disable about a million things, I have a similarly patched very old Firefox and a new-ish Firefox that I compel to stay in a box, all of which talk through Tor. lanodan maintains badwolf, https://hacktivis.me/projects/badwolf , which I haven't tried ("building Firefox" is a non-trivial undertaking) but since lanodan is very cool and has the right approach to security/privacy, I have been meaning to try. (It seems preferable to maintaining my own ad-hoc gutted patches.) A bonus of badwolf is that Pleroma definitely works if you can see lanodan's posts.

      Aside from that, half the time I use mothra. I'm gradually kind of gravitating from "Use the weird browser when the CSS/JS get annoying" to "Use the regular browser when the weird one doesn't work" because mothra is much faster.

      @p @Maholmire Im trying this bad wolf thing, and to many problems for it to be pretty usable. Videos dont play (audio does though), no way to either search or have bookmarks, cant use the mic. It might be usefull for css/js only stuff though.
