(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:21:09 JST @jeff @theorytoe Also would be neat if they made websocket-based transports for peers. Could be great for evading more restrictive firewalls. -
jaf (jeff@misinformation.wikileaks2.org)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:23:30 JST jaf @mint @theorytoe feels like having client ports on the 300::/64 you get that you dial into via whatever network voodoo is a more portable use of time likes this. -

jaf (jeff@misinformation.wikileaks2.org)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:25:20 JST jaf @mint @theorytoe basically, run radvd on a macvlan interface which advertises that range, then each client port is given a tap interface off that and you get a v6 via slaac
dial in on your client port using the voodoo of your choice likes this. -
(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:26:59 JST @jeff @theorytoe I already do that on my opnsense box and did it on my old openwrt router before. Quite useful ad I dont have to bother installing the daemon on each and every device. -
jaf (jeff@misinformation.wikileaks2.org)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:29:20 JST jaf @mint @theorytoe the snag is wiring up the voodoo for each client port dial in likes this. -
jaf (jeff@misinformation.wikileaks2.org)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:30:07 JST jaf @mint @theorytoe you could PROBABLY do a tun interface which does link local ipv6 multicast for everyone likes this. -
jaf (jeff@misinformation.wikileaks2.org)'s status on Sunday, 22-Oct-2023 05:31:53 JST jaf @mint @theorytoe just let ff02::2 be on each client port and it'll work, probably. likes this. -
