   I think I have 8 in the family, plus holiday gifts. Geez, what do people even want these days?

     I’m thinking the simplest is just to buy everyone a good thunderbolt cable since that seems to be something nobody actually owns right now

     @WashedOutGundamPilot I have the worst of luck with USB-C. They never seem to latch right in my cellphone or laptop port, no matter how much I try to clean them. They constantly fill up with dirt and grime which requires me to fashion a small pick from whatever plastic I have lying around (never use anything metal) to clean it.

     I’ve had the most luck when buying my cables at truck stops, strangely enough. Best buy and walmart cables just plain suck. And don’t even get me started on the inconsistencies in the alleged “standard.”

     @john_rando That’s why buying a couple brand name ones for ten bucks a pack would be the best. Just gotta see they’re at least USB3 transmission speed. I don’t think that full 80gbs cables are all that affordable yet, and they’re overkill for anyone but the nerds using them for displays
