   Does anyone know how to block mastodon email notifications: I've disabled the option in the "Preferences"➜"Notifications" menu, but it stubbornly floods my mailbox. Is this a mastodon bug?

     You need to untick all of those boxes if you want to stop all the email notifications? Also you need to press the save changes button at the top right after you've unticked them.

     That section marked "notifications" within preferences is only for email notifications.

     The notifications within Mastodon are controlled from the Notifications section outside preferences.

     I agree this is confusing!

     Thank you. I thought that by untick all these boxes, it would disable all notifications? (I want to get all these notifications but only under mastodon). I'll give it a try. Thank you.

     By the way, to edit your ordinary Masto notifications, click the slider icon in the top right corner of the notifications column.
