   @scalar @Twoinchdestroya I guess I’m talking more about the BAP guys I talk to IRL. They almost always seem like they’re embarrassed of their prior phases of allegiance. Avid, loud groypers until the gayness got to be too much to bear looking to never replicate that experience again.

   All the twitter RW thought seems to be fairly rootless in any practical terms, they talk about being men of history and classical literature while condemning the simplest, most important act the average man can achieve: being a good father to children that would pass for their own grandparents.

   Everyone wants to die for the cause, nobody wants to live for it.

     Napoleon was a great man and he was getting cucked by Josephine 6 ways from Sunday, not exactly "alpha". OTOH it would be retarded to suggest to Napoleon that he should have stayed home and been a family man instead of pursuing imperium over Europe.
     That being said, very few guys are ACTUALLY giving up Napoleonic potential in favor of quietly becoming Hank Hill. Most of the guys who read BAM go right back to their boring job by day and jerking off at night.

     I do this w/ old guys in flying sometimes. A while back one was telling me that he’s a VITAL part of the country’s infrastructure, when he’s basically a high-speed bus driver shuttling gamblers from atlantic city to shithole cities back east.
