   @fasterthanlime @gsuberland on the other hand, a lot of open source is so underfunded that a lot of us struggle both making a good application and also getting food on the table. If last year’s constant crunch and subsequent burnout im dealing with now is anything to go by…

     If I had a dollar every time I saw an "open source" project vaguely recreate a handful of surface-level features of some commercial solution then go "there you have it folks, YOU'RE FREE" while Nothing Actually Works, I would be able to, like, pay rent with it.
