@aral Gosh, Israelis politicians' comments day after day sometimes make me think they were just waiting for a terrorist attack so that they could go rogue and having a moral excuse for it.

I think "waiting for" is a too much of a framing. As Hamas solely exists to eradicate Israel and their doctrine is not to negotiate, except exchanging captured fighters, there is nothing other to be expected from Hamas. Of course that doesn't justify the things Israel is doing to the Palestinians, which Amnesty calls Apartheid. But non of Hamas actions are justifyable in any way.

@be @aral I've seen the news, and going full conspiratorial is easy. Information at the moment is so murky I prefer not to make statements, also out of respect of all the people mourning and being affected by the situation. I prefer not to believe that a govmt will allow something so tragic to happen just so they can have their cleansing war. But I alos think it's clear that the level of Isrealis politicians' talking doesn't help people thinking otherwise.
