     @lain @Moon I think it’s funny that we have tons of people (especially on the internet and not so much IRL, interestingly enough) whining about #Israel stealing land from #Palestine but ain’t nobody saying anything about how we stole land from the Native Americans or the Hawaiians 👀

     @realcaseyrollins @lain victimization of all those groups is ongoing but at least with israel the victims and perpetrators are still within living memory and overt killing is still happening. when I was at university I had a professor that was just "yeah they bombed my city and we fled, when I came back jews were living in my house"

     @zaitcev @lain @realcaseyrollins I hve had this argument on here before, I acknowledge that many Indians were brutal conquest fans when they were the victors. This thread started when I just suggested that Indian land wasn't acquired by consent (well, sometimes, under duress) which is one purported premise of the government's legitimacy.

     @Moon @realcaseyrollins @lain BTW, I dunno about Jews, but Americans didn't "steal" any land from Indians. They won it fair and square in a series of brutal wars. And the losers of those wars were cleansed, just like Serbs from Kosovo in 1993 and Germans from Prussia in 1945.
