@tsugumi they could've drawn them better, especially that SCSI centronics port which looks painted on
-
@takao @tsugumi it looks like they use a 3d model of a god damn box and just pasted a gif of a port diagram on it
-
@takao @Moon @tsugumi pretty easy with the labels lol. RS is the parallel port?
-
@Moon @tsugumi welp, it wasn't SCSI. Shit's too hard to read on that screencap.
-
@coolboymew @takao @tsugumi serial.
-
@Moon @coolboymew @takao @tsugumi That looks like a fairly normal V.24 port to me. The mouse is probably a simple serial port too. The rest seem non-standard.
-
@zaitcev @coolboymew @takao @tsugumi yeah it predates ps2 but basically nothing was actually standardized back then. I mean, the connectors were, but not what they were used for.

The RS-232 looks like the parallel port used for connecting old legacy printers and scanners.
Been a long time since i used a serial or parallel port device and nowadays there's adapters to convert them to USB anyways.
-
@ooignignoktoo @coolboymew @takao @tsugumi funfact, usd parallel port adapters are fake, they only work for printers not anything else that uses a parallel port

Thanks for that tidbit moon. I was not aware and I will keep that in mind in the future for reference if I ever come across a need or use case.
-
@ooignignoktoo @coolboymew @takao @tsugumi my gba cart writer uses parallel port, that's how I found this out
-
@Moon @ooignignoktoo @takao @tsugumi I know a lot of the old good dumped used parallel
The stuff Bennvenn sells seems pretty good in general, I was able to confirm my N64 dumps were proper stuff
