     @arstechnica as it is apparently only being tested on ‘new’ signups, it shouldn’t take long to tabulate the results.

     @arstechnica Good thing we have Mastodon I guess. I just set up another account on Twitter, but primarily for discovering new publishers to follow. Nobody can deny Twitter has the most outreach in terms of big names. I won't be using that account as much as Mastodon though after they suspended my other ID verified account. I will not throw any more money at Twitter.

     @arstechnica Honestly, I'm on board. If this is the final push that starts the hemorrhaging of users then so be it. The issue now is that there's a lot of groups that are stuck on twitter because moving an entire loosely connected social group is hard, but once enough people leave, the rest of the group go with them

     It IS however an income driver.
     It will be a long time coming before he and his investors turn a profit on that dumpster fire.
