     Men rape because they want sex. Rape is commonplace throughout nature. If anything patriarchy provides an organized social structure that protects women from rape and violence, which are far more commonplace in an anarchic state of nature.

     I didn't justify rape, my point was that patriarchy protects women from rape relative to the baseline found in a state of nature.
