     @Maholmire when was the last time you interacted with teenagers of school age

     their entire school process is tied to the internet, their grades are kept in the electronic form, they receive their tests by e-mail, and they don't even have "school's cancelled due to shit weather" days anymore because it's just replaced with the remote school; were you under the rock when everyone were working and studying online

     and as kids are quite literally banned from going outside and being kids (it's even worse for teenagers), their entire socialization is online as well

     you can't just "cut their internet access", internet has become a human right when it became mandatory, especially for teenagers

     @matana @Maholmire there's a reason im homeschooling my kids when they're old enough. shit is wack these days fuck all of that. you literally do not need any of it to work like that, and you can actively choose to make it not work like that. they'll learn about the internet and how everything works, but it's not going to be their only source of socialization and knowledge because that's deeply inhumane to raise a person in that environment. It's like putting a 500lb grizzly bear in a closet that dispenses food and water and leaving them there.
