   inkscape is already working for 10 minutes (with one core at 100% cpu) on a i9-9900 to convert this to paths. is there a better way to get from KiCAD to svg?

     @mntmn when you say "convert this to paths", are you converting a stroked path SVG export into path outlines?

     @stargirl @esther (in this concrete case i want to mask it with a logo and recolor everything that's black... i guess bitmap would have been easiest)

     @stargirl @esther thank you, that's a very kind offer! my coworker already did it in illustrator though after i figured out how to recolor the fills + strokes separately in inkscape (without touching the actual structure, because that makes it hang).

     @mntmn @esther I hate to say this, but I wouldn't use Inkscape. It just.. ain't up to the task.

     My workflow for stuff like this is to use KiCAD's plot tool (same tool you use to generate gerbers) to generate SVGs and then edit in Affinity Designer.

     @mntmn @esther I'm happy to help do this fwiw. If you can share the PCB, logo, and a rough mockup of what you want it to look like I'm happy to put it together.
