I’m still eating those croissants though

I enjoy chatting about food with you.
My grocer has frozen pierogi. I very much doubt they are up to your standards, however.

@cassidyclown @Inginsub this russian cooking site i found is saying that in the 18th century europeans were making pear jam
so i guess it could be either eastern or western europeans, or it was both because pears are nice
-
@cassidyclown @Inginsub who knows? i know pears are quite common in russia, we even have a soda made out of pears, so it's probably eastern in origin
-
@lina @Inginsub I figured but whose idea was that?
-
@cassidyclown @Inginsub maybe it's actual jam made out of pears?
-
@cassidyclown pear jam and ricotta cheese
-
@Inginsub > pear jam
I'm trying to figure out if this is french but I keep getting results for pearl jam :heyface:
-
@Inginsub try a little jam at least

@CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @Inginsub @cassidyclown sounds good to me, although i'd probably sperg out over them being called "vareniki" and not "pierogi", but that's just because i'm more russian than polish
those are definitely classic vareniki though, mashed potato filling is yummy, even if i will always prefer pelmeni because they're stuffed with meat instead of vegetables or anything sweet
