   Angler Mike Deacon is refusing to pay his #water bill(s) from Southern Water:

   'So, on the one hand, I’m having to pay for them to pollute my river... And on the other, I’m having to pay for their fines, and put money into the pockets of their shareholders. I’m not doing it'!

   If this becomes a wider trend there could be some interesting court cases ahead....

     @ChrisMayLA6 @blitzed mine shut me off if I forget to pay which has happened because someone else checked the mail and i didnt get the bill on multiple occasions

     aha, not that's not right... the joy of civil disobedience against the #water companies is that it is illegal for them to cut you off for non-payment... it has to go to court, which in a mass campaign might prove both expensive & politically 'inconvenient'

     @ChrisMayLA6 Meanwhile megacorps such as Nestle, loophole via diagonally drilling into aquifer via Native American Indian reservations...so they can sell the peoples' water to them at absurd markup for enriching it with microplastics n junk.
