I'm sorry, but I can't stand this fucking text-eating Soapbox bug any more, among all the other bullshit that has been introduced this past month. I'm taking a break from Poast (not Fedi, Poast) until I hear this bug has been fixed.

@matty @alex @graf >It's not perfect, but where else are you going to be able to say the things you do here?
Fellow nigga, I would contribute more if I could, but life has fucked me over with a hard R which made that virtually impossible. And I'm typing this while in a lot of physical pain.

Nigga, Alex is one dude. He does the overwhelming majority of the development on Soapbox, and I'm pretty sure he doesnt get paid for it as it's FOSS. We should be happy the dude even puts his time into this - not only that but he does the development on the backend (Rebased) as well which is a fork of Pleroma which is written in Elixir which is the most retarded programming language on the planet and has super AIDS.
This entire development team, contributors, developers, maintainers, testers, all work for free :hedoesitforfree: to bring accessible software to people like us. I would implore you to at least be grateful for that. It's not perfect, but where else are you going to be able to say the things you do here? Facebook? Twitter? Gab? Gab brings in millions and barely works. Count your blessings nigga.

@graf @matty 1. I already am using a latest fork of Desktop Friefox
2. This has to do with posting text with media when other instances are involved in a thread, not backspacing in the editor pre-post.
3. Mugica (v3.2.0-fe08f06) doesn't have this issue I'm experiencing, and Nozaki is probably not going to update soon, barring security issues.
4. I frankly shouldn't be a guinea pig on one of the largest public servers using Soapbox, for a development version of Soapbox with untested new features. Doesn't @alex use test environments anyways?
-
@matty I've tried Plemora and it's not as smooth, or well maintained, as the Soapbox FE.

@SuperSnekFriend @matty then tell alex its bothering you. im not going to pester him nor am i going to spend an hour cherrypicking out his lexical changes
gitlab.com/soapbox-pub/soapbox/-/issues/1532
it's an issue is really only an issue on android so just use husky or fuck off to another instance whatever works for you

Poast has other frontends you can use I think
