     "å smi i hymens lenker" is a Norwegian poetic figure of speech for getting married.

     the literal translation:

     "to forge in the chains of Hymen"

     Hymen as in Hymenaios - an ancient Greek god of marriage ceremonies

     EDIT: the word does NOT refer to a body part in Norwegian. god knows how the name of a Greek god of marriage ended up being used for a body part in English.
