   I'm the only person who's brave enough to say this but, while I understand the historical significance and reasoning, the modern so-called LGBT communitys obsession with sex/kink and the assumption that everyone else is okay with it being a constant thing that is always shown to you whether you want to see it or not is extremely alienating for many more than just the people who will admit it

     @lain I think the reason it got this bad is the old tolerance rhetoric of "gay people are literally the same as straight people! The only difference is who they have sex with!"

     @lain which has never been true in human history, being that fundamentally different from the majority of society changes one in ways they never would end up if not gay

     @vriska As a straightie :chaewonlt: , I have no say in this but I will say on the straight side, there's just so much stuff about sex now and I feel like that's all some people talk about and they always feel the need to make a joke in every convo it can be suffocating when you're stuck in an uncomfy situation like that and only you think it's weird

     @vriska@lizards.live i guess the reason i avoid these types is that the only people i talk to nowadays are non-terminally-online zoomer queers who have experienced genuine hardship in their life
     
     and then my three based 30-year-old friends

     @vriska @lain This is something that I would love to explore more, especially in writing. I need to find some people willing to discuss this with me and give me a different perspective than I am used to. Hmm. It does seem like it changes you.
