     @coolboymew the same problem as running it on the Steam Deck, and solved the same way (put that alternate DLL next to the game exe)
     
     And yeah I'm on Ryza 2 now that I've defeated all the bosses including secret DLC ones and crafted all the recipes from Ryza 1

     @coolboymew the Super Secret Island DLC adds a bunch of boss fights including a ravaging queen supercharged in such a way that it can TPK if you're not all max level with max-quality gear

     @coolboymew fortunately, it can be spammed to death with the tar bomb, just like the ravaging queen at the end of the Empel & Lila Episode DLC, so long as you can use Astronomical Clock before it can make any attacks

     @coolboymew not as easy as you might think because everything on that island is supercharged. First visit to the island, everyone’s level 50, got TPK’d by a fucking puni that was channelling the spirit of Kenshiro or something

     @coolboymew but yeah the starting quality of anything there was like 2x the best quality you could get collecting the same material elsewhere in the game

     @coolboymew going back to Ryza 2, there's no way to get steady framerate at all on Windows or Steam Deck without that DLL, Proton Experimental also helps on Deck. Otherwise you'll go from 30fps at one spot to under 10fps just a step away in the same zone

     @coolboymew go there after winning the game and unlocking NG+ but spend the first several visits just collecting stuff on the ground, running to avoid the monsters. Then use what's collected to build better gear. Doesn't hurt to make a bunch of supplements, red stones, and even philosopher's stones with Quality++ and high natural quality, too, for synthing that new gear.
     
     Absolutely avoid the elemental boss rush in the third zone of the island until you've grinded to max level (although gear can probably be okay around 500-600 quality). Don't attempt the Great Light Elemental or the Calamity (queen of ravaging queens) until you have all gear 950+ quality with health+AP restoring traits
