I think people still view linux the same as Apple OS when it comes to gaming and that confuses me sometimes. The only time I had to fuck with anything to a really deep degree was with cemu and that's because I decided to build it myself so I could learn how to build something in linux. I haven't had anything that hasn't been click and play.

@Kyonko802 Nah, Apple OS is an absolute mess for gaming. :kekw: Anyone who calls themselves a gamer but uses macOS gets a laugh from me :kekw:

@Ronnie21093 @Kyonko802 Mac OS is actually user friendly though.
-
@Tamamo @Ronnie21093 until you wanna do anything remotely outside of the scope of what the OS wants you to do.

@Spooke lucky for me taimanin yukikaze works, it just shows cgs instead of playing the video. Still hot cuz the main thing is the voice and visuals :hypercum:
The VNs themselves generally have no issues though. Even MGQ worked out of box which really surprised me

@Kyonko802 Majority has been pretty plug and play with proton I've had some games only work on a specific proton version that's older than the brand new ones though. The only issues i've truly had have been from Japanese visual novels and their cursed fileformats for video files. Even if I install lib32-gst-badplugins and whatnot you still can't get video to work so it either skips or just crashes kirikiri.

@Kyonko802 I think the big issue was trying to run prison battleship 3 or the taimanin asagi versions with animated sex scenes. Those always blackscreen no matter what. The Static CG mode works fine though. Prison Academia scenes work fine but they're in a completely different format/engine. curse you KiriKiri and your worthless method of playing video.

@Spooke you just have to turn off the animated option in settings
-
@Spooke One day someone will figure it out lol
-
@Kyonko802 Yeah I know that thats why I called it CG mode probably would have been smarter to say toggling off the animated mode. Regardless the fact that it doesn't work is still a massive pain it's like missing 25% of the product.
