   The taking of hostages bit, esp of that big-profile general nimrod is a smart move. This way they will ensure that the air bombardment on Gaza will not be that severe.

     @ChristiJunior The kike state likes to hide casaulties. Wikipedia itself usually takes them at their word.
     
     An example is when Iran did an operation in a secret base in Iraq and killed a mossad general, which later the kike state declared "died during training drills".
     
     Maybe they didn't manage to kill/wound 1000, but maybe 800 or so.
     IDF personnel is notoriously corrupt, just like the ukrainian army. These past few years the border patrols got less weaponry because they were illegally selling too much to lebanese and palestinians. In one notorious episode, an engine for a jet fighter got sold to the black market.
     It is no surprise the IDF then gets crushed and, exactly like Ukraine, tries to downplay casaulties.

     @FruitpilledPeachcel Even the official numbers list a colossal number of wounded Jews, so the actual death count at least being in the hundreds seems very reasonable, the current official number of 40 dead is sure to be revised up multiple times.

     @ChristiJunior The fun thing is this is not even the peak of the action yet.
     Previously there were fights in 16 settlements, now it spread over to 20.
     
     A fresh video I saw had Palestinians going into a military base with lots of untouched US-donated armored vehicles inside.
     
     The kikes got lazy after years where the worst thing they faced was DIY rockets from the sky and small groups with homemade Carlos in the streets.

     @FruitpilledPeachcel Probably just war propaganda, even the Yom Kippur War apparently resulted in less than 3000 dead Israelis.
     
     Still, Israel is no doubt badly shaken.
