     @itsfoss LONG TIME SUPPORT >5yrs , plus easy and stable/reliable way to do "inplace upgrade" , additional flatpack and appimage support out of the box. NO SNAPS!

     @itsfoss Frequent updates on arch and only security & bug fixes in Debian. That's it and everything else is extra good stuff that comes with the distro. Which is why I use both of those distros.

     @itsfoss Specifically? Eh, dunno. Always been a Debian fan. Stable, and leading edge updates aren't a killer need. KDE has more than enough customisation options for me.

     @itsfoss good wayland support and sane defaults appeal to me - but the single thing I long for most in a distro, but lately am unable to find, is a working global menu.

     - A clear direction of the distro wants to be (lean, easy, conenient, etc...)
     - Not using .deb packages

     For me, I would say a simple, lightweight and build it yourself (choosing the packages) distro works the best.
