     i am using all my willpower to work out what’s going wrong *first*, before taking to this with a soldering iron to make it boot from emmc

     ....aaaaand i broke something. i'm *so* good at computers.

     old module still boots so i've not knocked out the screen or anything by accident. much to investigate. hopefully attempting to put stuff on the internal emmc did not cause problems, that chip looks *so* annoying to desolder if it comes to that.

     @jacqueline ahh sorry, then i mis-spied! unfortunately no output before booting. but there should be a clock on the sd card's clock pin. also the most common problem i had was that card detect pin was not pulled low on the motherboard because of soldering issues, but probably doesn't apply for you.

     @mntmn that's actually my new drive, it's sata! got recognised fine, and i was able to write to it no problem

     (also qq whilst you're here: this module doesn't spit anything out over uart before getting to the boot device, right?)

     @jacqueline there's also a bunch of jtag test points as a last resort, these can be hooked up to "codewarrior tap" probe for example

     oh it randomly started working again. yay!(?)
