   ahhh it feels so good giving my skin a good scrub. when i did my archaeology field work we all had our own ‘shower stone’, aka a nice lightly scrubby rock that we’d use to really scrub our arms and legs–it was the only thing that could even begin to get the dirt off us!

     it feels so good to get a pumice stone and some soap and scrub my underarms until that layer of aluminum finally comes off and you’re fully clean

     @mushroom_soup FWIW we both jumped in on the experiment of no-aluminum-antiperspirant a couple months after she moved in and I was working from home. Supposedly, you “don’t stink” after a while and your body acclimates.

     Who knows if that’s true, but if you can afford to shower 2x/day then it works out alright. I still have some of the non-alum stuff and the cream for real important jobs, but around the house I actually like having her just smell like a woman instead of the same low-rent DMV scent every other girl in public has. She’s kinda the same, or at least I assume from the way she acts. I think she likes my smell when I’m away a lot, I notice she never really changes the sheets until I get back and then we start them out fresh.

     So maybe not something to do in singledom, (though supposedly liking each other’s stink is a STRONG measure of genetic attraction & compatibility) but something to consider when you’re in the cuddly cozy intimate phase.

     And you do still stink, don’t listen to people saying you just become scentless. Maybe it’s diff. in the temperate climes, but we got reall summers down here.
